I love this story about a Dutch church that held a months long worship service to protect Armenian migrants inside. Particularly inspiring is this poem from one of the migrant children, Hayarpi (who also has a blog).

Around-the-clock 7 days a week
We praise and worship God
It makes the flowers in my heart grow
